What is Chugarkwon?

Chugarkwon literally translated from Chinese means "The School of Selective Teaching". The core philosophy of this school is to ramify the basic principles of all known martial arts techniques so that students can pick and choose from what they have learned and utilize those basic principles to the best of their advantage.

Who Can Train?
Men, women and children from 10 years onwards can excel in this system. However, children must have the ability to distinguish left from right. At Chugarkwon Academy, your abilities are not measured against fellow students, but against your own past achievements.
How Will I Find the Time?
You can always find the time to do something that you really want to. Chugarkwon Academy runs a number of weekday classes plus private tuition is available on request. We also have a distance learning programme.

How Will The Training Be Conducted?
The training will be conducted in a traditional oriental manner. Exercise, discipline, self-defence patterns and technique drilling are incorporated into an action packed training session. We believe in making exercise fun.


Memberships and Schools affiliation
All Martial art schools are welcome and we have three different types of membership & affiliation.

1. Licenced members & schools
Chugarkwon has great interests and involvement in these schools including undertaking personal grading examinations and conducting regular seminars to students and instructors

2. Affiliated members & schools
Chugarkwon has some interests and part involvment in these schools including undertaking grading examination as an external examiner and to approve grades similar to that of Chugarkwon standards. This include all online and distance learning students.

3. Registered  members and schools
These schools have great interests in Chugarkwon's work in the martial art world and would like to be approved by Master chiu for recognition of standards and participation.
