ORIENTAL SAN-DA
Grading Etiquette

It is advisable to arrive at least 20 minutes early for a grading in order to go through your own warm up. There is a class warm up prior to the grading but this is shorter than it would be during a normal lesson.

It is essential that you are well presented on the day. You must wear your official Chugarkwon Academy uniform, which should be neatly pressed. A neat uniform shows a disciplined student.

As always, bow upon entering the hall, then immediately bow to the Chief Examiner.

Observe the usual rules of the kwoon - full details to be found on the main website under Academy Rules

You will be asked to line up in grade order and given a number. As your number is called out, you must hold up your right hand and state clearly:

Your name your rank Sir

for example: John Smith, Blue Belt Sir

Once the warm up session is complete, you will be asked to stand in reverse grade order so that students can clearly be seen by the examiners at the correct level of grading.

Once your part of the examination is complete, sit quietly at the side of the hall and wait. The rest of the class will move forward and continue. White Belt students will be asked to complete a simple written exam as detailed on the syllabus.

Once all levels are complete, all students will resume grade order positions for the closing of the examination.
