THE RANKING SYSTEM

The purpose of a tested grading system is to demonstrate progressive levels of proficiency and seniority through time spent practising the art and also knowledge and skills acquired during that time.  It is a way to distinguish the experienced from the novice.  This also provides a positive incentive for the individual to achieve and progress, a great motivational factor as well as establishing a hierarchy within an organisation.

The hierarchy of command brings pride and achievement into each grading examination and indirectly helps to improve the individual's personal skills.  The school acts like a family with the opportunity to take and give orders, thus installing leadership, co-operation and co-ordination.  Further more this allows the students to understand that in order to be respected, one must learn to respect others.
