Chugarkwon Honorary Grand master Chen Qing Jun
After a number of visits made by Master Leon Chiu and Sifu Tim Galloway to China last year and also this year, we are pleased to announce that Grand master Chen Qing Jun has gracefully accepted our invitation to come to Uk for his ceremony to become our association honnoray Grand master. He shall be arriving between the end of Ocotber and beginning of November 2009, subject to UK visa approval.Grandmaster Chen is a respectable martial artist in China with over 40 years of martial art expereinces and those who meet him in our China trips will know he is one of the most respected and open minded masters in China. Now we will have all the opportunities to learn from him while we are  training in China.

Examiner’s comment

The standard is good but master Chiu will expect a lot more from the students who could demonstrate a far deeper potentials if they put more dedication and uncompromising training to their Sanda but none the less well done for passing the test.




China Kung Fu trip

Another round of the Chugarkwon’s famous cultural and kung fu experience with the authentic grandmasters of kung fu in China tastes the food and experience the inspiration teaching. There will also be time for you to shop and to take part in a cultural tour, all in all a fun packed intensive programme. Excellent spa and massage centres to relax you feet and body too. This 10 days cultural and kung fu tour is only £995 starting from the last week of February Accommodation are based on two sharing basis but there is a single room option which you will need to arrange personally with the hotel once you are there. 13th February to 23th February 2010. Eastbourne Summer Camp

Due to popular request, the Eastbourne summer camp has mover from 18th July to Sunday, 23rd August 2009. There will be Sanda, Wing Chun, Weapons and Chugarkwon Knights challenge and finish with a delightful BBQ dinner party at Master Chiu’s front garden. For more details, contact your instructor.

 



In search of the roots of Tai Chi and Qi Gong from the mountains of Wudang

Master Chiu is seeking an enlightenment pursue of internal kung fu as part of his continue personal development as a master of Chugarkwon and he is seeking to find the lights from the founders of Tai Chi and Taoism. Next year he is considering of going into the heart of ancient China and go up to the mountains of Wudang to reach the famous temple of Zheng San Feng, the birth place of Tai Chi Chuen and Taoist Qi Gong. This is a must for senior practitioners as it is Master Chiu’s only attempt to in search of enlightenment.

 

 


Wudang martial arts is parallel to Shaolin kung fu and this will be an eye opener for first timers from the scenic views of the mountains to the cultural heritage of Wubei. These, which show a big, contrast from the Chugarkwon Kung Fu China tour to Guangzhou a modern city by comparison. If you are interested in accompany master Chiu in the quest to enlightenment you must contact master Chiu on this. This is a 14 days tour covering 4 days from UK to Honkg Kong, crossing the boarder to China and staying over night at Shenzhen city before we travel to Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong.

From Guangzhou city we will fly to Wuhan city , stay over night at the capital city of Wubei. A special coach will then take us a sight seeing rural journey into the heart of Wudang, there we start the intensive training at Wudang Academy with the original Tai chi descending grandmasters of Tai Chi and Taoist qi gong.

While in Wudang we will train hard and play hard, excursion is a must to all nature lovers. The scenery are breath taking. The fees will be around £1195 all inclusive* to take account of air flights, long journeys and extra days. As this is the first ever, Wudang tour, we are planning to go in mid August 2010 to give amble of time to promote interests.
